April is gonna be HOPPING!! Take a look at a little of what’s to come this month. ☀️It’s SPRING BREAK BABY!!☀️Have a wonderful week (and a day) of relaxation! See you back at school on TUESDAY, April 7th!! And be ready…because we are jumping RIGHT into to April goodness…which comes before May Madness!!!!! It’s gonna be AWESOME!!! A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Michelle Huffman organized the Spelling Bee and is a regular volunteer throughout the year! We appreciate her consistency and presence. The PTA wouldn’t “bee” the same without her! 🚨Douglas Dragon Logo Refresh!🚨 Kate Nisbet is not new to the PTA, she has put in her time! We appreciate that Kate keeps coming back, keeps volunteering, keeps making a difference. Thank you for your continued support and for the years of outstanding hospitality volunteering! Troy Fairbank is a regular volunteer and active supporter of the Douglas PTA! When we put out a call to the Dads of Douglas, he answers! Rain or shine, Troy will be there. Last year, Amy and Will Yarbrough took the lead and put together a truly epic field day experience! From precise organization to creative fun, they had it all covered. We are so excited to see what they have in store this year! #volunteer #douglasmagnetelementary #douglaspta #douglasdragons Douglas began to participate in the SHARE program this year. It has been a great addition to our advocacy initiatives. We are excited that more schools are getting to chance to participate thanks to towardszerowaste! When we started discussing PTA members we wanted to highlight, Augusta Gaertner was quickly suggested. The phrase that was mentioned repeatedly was, "Superstar!". We appreciate Augusta for always showing up! We see her name regularly on sign up geniuses and she supports our school everyday!
