🌱Helping Our Students Bloom: The Daily Impact of the PTA 🌸

At the heart of every thriving school is a caring community, and at the heart of that community is the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). This year, we embrace the theme “Grow With Us: Nourish and Tend the Same Garden,” reminding us that when we all care for the same space—our school—we help every student bloom.

Tending the Garden Every Day

You don’t have to be in the spotlight to make a big difference. PTA members contribute in ways both big and small to make daily impacts at Douglas:

  • Organizing and volunteering for school events like book fairs, family nights, and field days creates joyful, lasting memories for children. No matter the skill set or interest, we welcome all! Fill out The Volunteer Interest Form today!
  • Volunteering in the classroom provides hands-on support for teachers and students alike.
  • Fundraising efforts supply vital resources, such as classroom supplies, teacher and staff support, cultural arts experiences, updated technology, field trips, and more.
  • Become a Monthly Sustainer Your generous monthly contribution can create a remarkable difference in our operations! This wonderful support empowers us to manage unexpected challenges and guarantees that every corner of Douglas thrives with the assistance it needs. • Advocating for students’ needs ensures every child has a voice and feels seen.

Every gesture, from sending in snacks to helping in the garden to leading a committee, is like water to a growing plant. Small actions, when done consistently, create a lush, supportive environment where kids can thrive.

Why It Matters

When students see families actively involved in school life, they feel valued. That sense of belonging boosts confidence, encourages academic success, and fosters resilience. PTA is more than a support group—it’s a movement that tells our children:
“You matter. Your education matters. And we’re growing with you.”

Join Us—Let’s Grow Together 🌿
