This year, the early bird award goes to Sam Hershey! He was the very first parent to join the PTA this summer, before school even started. Here’s what he had to say about why the PTA is so important to him:
“We are very excited to be a part of the Douglas community/PTA. We are big supporters of public education, and we understand the important role our son’s teachers and the administrators at Douglas will play in his growth as a person. It’s important to us that they know how much we appreciate them. We also appreciate the many parents before us who have contributed countless hours to make Douglas a great school. Now it’s our turn to step up and continue the tradition.”
