In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, Douglas Dragons are invited to create their own Earth-friendly artwork in our first annual Upcycle, Recycle, Youcycle Art Contest.
You can choose to:
UPCYCLE – Create something new from something old (adding materials to an old item.
RECYCLE – Use recyclable material to create a new piece of art.
YOUCYCLE – You come up with an idea that can combine both ideas or just create your own masterpiece using whatever you find.
Recycled materials for you to use can be found in a box outside of Ms. Edgerly’s classroom or just use whatever you have at home. Turn all artwork in to Ms. Edgerly’s classroom by Thursday, April 20. All grades are encouraged to participate in the contest. Prizes will be awarded to each grade!
Contest Rules:
1) You can make 2D or 3D art
2) Artwork must not be any larger than 20×20 inches in any direction
3) Get creative and have FUN!
Be sure to check out the permission slip that went home in folders to sign off on reprinting usage!
